Organizing Your Garage By Building a Garage Workbench.

I decided to build my garage workbench as my first workbench project because I was tired of working on projects on my hands and knees in my garage.

Garage and basement floors are definitely not the best surfaces to work on. Nothing can be a substitute for a solid, strong garage workbench. I built my garage workbench with a few cabinets in order to organize everything easier. I also prefer building rough looking workbenches so I wouldn't feel bad when damaging them with a hammer, or by drilling a hole into them.

One thing you have to worry about your garage workbench is the size of the workbench. Make sure that you can open the garage door and exit the car comfortably without maneuvering like a circus contortionist. I have merely touched the surface of building a good garage workbench.
